Grandma Raine planned a wonderful vacation. We grew up going to San Diego every summer and it was always one of my favorite vacations. I was super excited to take the kids and continue the tradition.
This was our beach house. It was about a mile away from the beach and the perfect place to stay and play......loaded with all the necessities, bikes, scooters, boogie boards, etc.
The girls loved to be in the water. They boogie boarded and body surfed every day! I could barely get them out of the water to re-apply sunscreen.

They built sand castles and cities and walls and motes with the cousins.
We also went to the famous Sawdust Art Festival that was right down the street. The kids enjoyed making their own art.
And they even got to make pottery pieces that will (hopefully) be shipped to our home in a few weeks.

Sierra made a flower vase.

And Ryan made a bowl.

We went to the Marine Animal Sanctuary. This was a cool, little place that rescues and rehabilitates sea animals. The kids enjoyed seeing the sea lions up close.

Great pictures to capture our fun week at the beach. I hope the kids will remember this with the fondness we have of beach trips past. I wonder if Kaya will be doing "the princess" pose in every picture now?
hey our last picture turned out! i can't believe it
