Welcome to the Condominiums Pilar on the Sea of Cortez!
This was the view from our balcony upstairs!
We spent a week on the beach with family and friends. Aunt Shala and Uncle BC were nice enough to let us join them in Mexico again this year! There were about 20 people or so in our group and it made for a great week. There are many things about San Carlos that I love!!
We set up canopies, chairs, sand toys, snacks, towels, etc. and left it there all week. There is no carrying it back and forth. We stay at a small, private beach area where people respect each other's space and belongings. And no one walks around trying to sell you overpriced trinket things or braid your hair. (Who woulda thought it could be like that in Mexico??)
The girls played in the sand all day, everyday. They built sand castles with motes, found beautiful sea shells and buried each other.
It was fun being with cousins!
Ryan loved being in the water this year. She sported her handy-dandy goggles and jumped into the warm water.
Her fashionable water shoes saved her from the evil crabs, sting rays (flashbacks from last year) and jelly fish!
These jelly fish were a tourqoise-blue color and ranged in size from quarter size to smaller. They were definately around and a couple adults got stung, but not too badly. On Friday afternoon it seemed like a storm was rolling in and all of a sudden there were hundreds of jelly fish in the water and washing ashore. We stayed OUT!
And went to the POOL!!
We had a ski boat and sailboat to play on too. Ryan even learned to wake board (sorry...bad mom....forgot my camera on that day!) Bill, BC and I went sailing one day and played with the dolphins! They swam so close to us and played along for quite awhile. I loved seeing them up close.

looks like so much fun! i'm totally jealous.
Glad you guys are back safe and that you had a blast.
Of course I had to come right home, after seeing you at Costco, and get on your blog. I'm DYING over these pictures. I've never been to this part of Mexico. It's gorgeous! It looks like you guys had a great time. We're going to Rocky Point next week, and I'm NOT looking forward to the "How Many?" question from the vendors strolling down the beach. So glad to hear there were no problems at the border. AND that you didn't get shot at for drugs or anything like that. :0)
Hope you had fun at Harry Potter today. Talk to you soon (like the next time I run into you at Costco). :0)
