The Circle of Life

Last weekend we celebrated!

We celebrated the life of my Aunt Sally. She was the wife of my dad's older brother, Uncle Lee. Aunt Sally recently passed away after a wonderful life of 69 years on earth. We drove to Fallon, NV to attend the funeral and support family members.

It was a touching and spiritual experience. We were grateful for the opportunity to be there. My heart was full as we reflected on Heavenly Father's plan for our lives and how appropriate it was for all this to occur on Easter weekend. It was not forgotten that as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we can also celebrate the truth that Aunt Sally will be resurrected as well. What a reassuring and comforting blessing we have.

After the funeral and dinner, the family blessed Uncle Lee and Aunt Sally's first Great-Grandchild. It was amazing to have family together to welcome a new baby into this world. Again, I was reminded of how connected and sacred both death and life are. As we grieve the loss of one family member, Heavenly Father sends another precious child down to earth.

Being in Northern Nevada also provided us the chance to spend time with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Yvonne and family. We celebrated the "other side" of Easter; fun, candy, eggs and more candy.

They have 4 awesome children, Annika, Ryker, Brady and Alyssa. The kids love playing together......being outside and jumping on the new trampoline!

They anxiously awaited the arrival of the Easter bunny, hidden eggs and baskets.

They were not disappointed!
We also celebrated the life of Sierra! She turned 8 years old that weekend too! It was so fun to see her full of life and excitement! She is a beautiful girl.....full of light, knowledge and spunk!
Sierra is a tremendous part of our family. We love her sooooo much!
Where have the last 8 years gone??? She has grown up so fast.....from my perfect 7 lb. 8 oz. baby to my strong and smart second grade daughter!

Many blessings were remembered this weekend.....the love and importance of family and Heavenly Father's love for us. We celebrate!
