Ryan's Stitches
During Fall Break my mom and I decided to take the girls to the new Polar Ice Arena. They had never been ice skating and always wanted to try. Hey, let's do it. They
did better than I expected and barely stayed along the rail. They are dare devils by birth. Everything was great for the first 40 minutes and then......wham! Ryan fell! Face first! Into the ice! She said she heard a loud noise and thought to herself "This can't be good." She skated on her own off the ice and found Grandma and me. After looking at it (briefly...I hate blood), we determined it for sure needed stitches. So off to Urgent Care we went. Luckily, there was no one else there and we were in and out in 40 minutes. That has to be some kind of record. Ryan's biggest concern was whether we were going to be finished in time to make kick-off for the BYU football game. During the stitching process Ryan asked the doctor, "No offense, but how much longer is this going to take?" Afterwards, she jumped up off the hospital bed and took off down the hall. Let's just get on with this. There is no stopping this girl. She's been a trooper and had fun telling an exaggerated story to all her friends back at school today.
