Girls Trip

I needed to take Grama Gram to Flagstaff. She was ready to go back home to Kanab and Uncle Dennis was going to meet us half way. It was a blessing to spend so much time with Grama in Arizona and then on the drive up north. I invited my good friend Martha along with us and we made it a weekend trip. Grama listened to Martha and I vent and gossip and Grama promised secrecy! I asked her if she wanted to stay in Flagstaff with Martha and I and do "girly things" but she declined. Her flowers were waiting for her in Kanab. She was anxious to get home.

Girl time was great!

We hiked up the San Francisco Peaks to the Snowbowl area. It was windy and cold.....perfect!

There was still quite a bit of snow at 9500 ft. Many of the trails were still blocked by snowfall but we eventually found a great area and wonderful view. The Aspen trees mixed in with Pines are my favorite.

We had plenty of time to talk and relax. We found a comfy hotel suite, read our books, took naps, went to see a chick flick, shopping, pedicures and good eateries. Definite girls trip. Martha was a good sport and walked around the NAU campus with me. It was fun to be back in the area and remember so many good times from my college years. Flagstaff will always be a special place for me.
