Change

"People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built." - Elenor Roosevelt

I've been thinking about change recently. Is it good or bad? Do I like change in my life or not? Who shakes up this world of mine anyway? and why? I like things scheduled. I don't like to be late. If it's not on my calendar it doesn't happen. I guess I need a little awakening every once in awhile. Change still happens.

Our house is still fairly new to us.
Sierra cut her hair a few months ago.
Spring time is the season for birthdays at our house. We are all getting a year older.
Bill gets a new truck a couple times a year.
My hair is turning an odd shade of grey at the roots.
Friends move.
Jobs change.
Family members get sick.
Ryan grows taller.
The Suns don't make the playoffs.
The bathroom scale LIES.
Flowers bloom in the yard.

"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." Eccl. 3:1

How will I adjust to these changes? I'm not sure I have figured that out yet. Sometimes I feel strong. Other times I want to crawl in my bed and cuddle under the warm blanket of security.

“Things do not change; we change.” - Henry David Thoreau

Hopefully, Henry's right.

you strike me as someone who is never shaken by life. please don't let me see this vulnerable side again; it makes me nervous.
