Horse Riding at Karen's

We love horse riding at Karen's house! We are still going out there once a week. Karen still promises that it's good for the horses and good for her to have the girls around.

And of course it's good for us.....the girls are so happy when they ride.
The other day they told me they're not sure they want to get their own horses because then they won't get to ride Mo and Missy anymore.

Just being in the stable makes them smile.

They have gotten very good at saddling up the horses on their own. And then after riding they race to see who can untack them the fastest and put it all away. I love that they are learning about horse care and the work that it requires as well as the fun.

Sierra loves to rake up the hay that is dropped on the ground. She has always been a good cleaner and organizer.

Ryan loves to feed and is getting more comfortable picking out their hooves too. I try to brush the hay off her clothes when she is done and she prefers that it stay there. The horse smell that gets on their hands and clothes....they love that too!

One of their favorite games to play is "herd the goat". Tucker the goat is very entertaining and the girls enjoy chasing him around the paddock.

When they play games on the horses they look so comfortable. It's great to see their skills coming out even when they aren't trying. I love seeing my daughters with a passion for something!
