"The Dunes" are just outside of Yuma, Az. Actually just across the border into California.
The sand dunes are huge and suprisingly beautiful. There are actually 3 or 4 different areas to play and we were at the "Buttercup" dunes. Our friends, Woody & Michel, go several times a year and have all the toys to ride and trailer to stay in. We also met some other new friends with more toys. It's so nice to have good friends who know how to play it right!!
We had a great time just hangin around camp. It's kinda like camping.....sit around the fire, do nothing, cook outside, do nothing, play, etc. Except there are no trees!

The kids loved playing in the sand and getting dirty.

Our girls enjoyed spending time with Jake and baby Rylee.

We also found a new ride.....the rail! Thanks Taimi and Herb for making the trip a blast!

This $80,000 machine was awesome and the kids started calling it the race car! We strapped/harnessed in, put our goggles on and went for a roller coaster ride.

I was nervous at first but quickly fell in love. We went about 55 mph on the flats and went up and down some amazing dunes. My stomach was doing flip flops. The girls loved it too! Ryan kept saying "AWESOME" and Sierra just kept smiling and squealing.

We took a ride over to the border of Mexico (only a mile or so away) and looked at the fence they built. It stretched on and on and was massive. Billy and Woody thought for sure they could get over it if they really wanted to get into Mexico.
The guys (and Michel....that daredevil girl!) went on a crazy rail ride! Not me, NO WAY! From the stories I heard after they got back, I'm glad they are still alive and in one piece. These Adrenaline Junkies were in heaven.
