Mexico

Last week we went to San Carlos, Mexico with Billy's sister Shala and family. It was so beautiful and totally fun! I think we have a new favorite vacation spot! It was about an 8 hour drive from our house....and if there wasn't crazy Mexican road construction or fewer potholes in the middle of every lane we may have gotten there faster. But the girls travel so well and it was easy.

Shala and BC were kind enough to invite us along on their family vacation (BC's family has been going for years). It was so fun to play with Macey and Clark and enjoy their cute personalities.

We were all perfectly content to play on the beach all day long, all week long. The sand was super soft, the water was warm and the breeze felt so nice! The girls made numerous sand castles, caught tiny fish and built a tiny pool of water for them, collected sea shells and played in the water.

BC also brought his boats along....a wakeboard boat and a sailboat. It was a blast! The girls loved riding on the "Great Big Mable" raft. It was huge, fast and bumpy. The highlight of boating was playing with the dolphins! (No pictures of the dolphins) They would race the boat, play in the wake and were literally close enough to touch at times. Billy and BC also thought they were sailors in the "America's Cup" race. They took the sailboat to the limits and flipped it a couple of times. Billy has a huge bruise on his rearend and broke something in his foot along with breaking parts of the boat. Adrenaline junkies!

We had a wonderful time and loved being together as a family and enjoying our beautiful world.
